All businesses will at some stage in their cycle be involved in disputes. The Dispute Resolution Group is well equipped to deal with large and complex disputes that could threaten the survival of a business as well as day to day issues.

We take prompt action through the courts when necessary and approach all disputes with the same focus on resolving the issues quickly to our clients' benefit and in the most cost effective way. Our lawyers are commercially minded and provide robust, clear and practical advice at all times.

We understand that one of the paramount concerns to clients involved in dispute resolution or commercial litigation is the level of cost involved and the ability to monitor and budget for those costs on a regular basis. We use bespoke software, designed by our in-house litigation costs analyst, to provide detailed and tailored budgets at the outset of a dispute.

Although our Dispute Resolution Group has a wealth of commercial litigation experience, we recognise that court action will not always be appropriate. We also have extensive experience of all types of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, and strive to assist clients in resolving disputes without the need for litigation.

Where it is appropriate to consider an alternative to litigation, we will discuss with you whether formal mediation is appropriate. Our experience demonstrates that mediation can be a successful way of resolving disputes early and cost effectively.
