Charities
We have a well established CSR programme focusing on local charities with the aims of engaging our staff, creating a substantial impact and making a real difference in the community. The charities we are proud to be involved with are:
One Million Pound Bond and "Youth with A Mission" Charity
Joanna and Sophie Keely are a mother and daughter from York who wish to make a difference. They will work with Operation Restoration in Bolivia and seek to give hope to deprived teenage street children by offering them homes, education and security.
Richardson & Co are pleased to have agreed to pay sponsorship in respect of the Youth with a Mission charity by contributing towards the travelling expenses of the two volunteers.
In addition to making a cash donation to this charity, Richardson & Co LLP have also offered a Bearer Bond for auction by the charity whereby Richardson & Co LLPwill promise the Bearer of the Bond i.e. the successful highest bidder, free conveyancing services for the sale of a dwelling house up to One Million Pounds. All of the proceeds of the auction will be donated to the charity.
Sara's Hope Foundation
Richardson & Co LLP have teamed up with the well known and highly reputable artist Roger Colson to help raise funds for Sara's Hope Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to raising funds to give those children diagnosed with cancer "smiles, hopes and precious memories."
A selection of Rogers finest paintings, which have previously been exhibited in an Ilkley Gallery, are on display at our Leeds City Centre office and are available for sale. A large percentage of the purchase price will be donated to the Sara's Hope Foundation so that the charity can help make a difference to children's lives.
Forgotten Heroes Charity
We are also heavily involved with the establishment of the new ‘Forgotten Heroes' charity and we are currently applying to register the charity for start up. The aim of this charity is to help injured military personnel find employment and to assist in claiming benefits such as a War Pension, Industrial Injury Benefits etc. Our team of solicitors will be offering free Legal advice to those individuals seeking the benefits and to aid with the accounting procedure. Personnel from Richardson & Co LLP will also be acting as Trustees for the charity.
Assisting with Cancer Care
Richardson & Co LLP are currently assisting with the sale of Doxford Hall on behalf of its owners, Brian and Shirley Burnie. To date the couple have spent in excess of £16m transforming the 191 year old Doxford Hall into one of the country's most luxurious hotels.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to initiate a cancer nurse for north Northumberland, in addition to a fleet of vehicles to take cancer patients to and from hospital. Richardson & Co LLP are also donating all of their fees from the sale to the charity.
